Gen X
For an artist seeking inspiration, you need to look no further than Generation X! My generation has been blessed. We were fortunate to grow up with the very best of it all… the best movies, music, sports and television. These are the people, moments and memories that shaped and influenced our lives. They are what connect us in our experiences in life. Recreating these GenX icons has been my way of sharing some feel good vibes of a time when we felt more connected to each other. We could laugh together, sing together and cheer together. This collection was made to bring some of my favorites to life.

The Artist
My name is Ben Hazlerig. In 2020, I decided to change my life and pursue a path of love and connection. This drew me to creating art for the first time in my adult life. My Dad was an artist, so this was not as crazy of an idea as it may seem to most.
I quickly found my footing and narrowed my focus to portrait art. Growing up a GenXer, I decided that I wanted to create portraits from my generation.
A celebration, if you will, of the awesomeness that is GenX. These are some of my fondest memories with some of my favorite people, characters and scenes. I hope that I create some of your favorites along the way!
